Bird and Banner, Vintage Handkerchief Invites

The first, and my favorite, wedding project was our invitations. Erin Mulcahy and Nicole Michels of Bird and Banner totally understood what look I was going for and worked with me to come up with a design that made both Aaron and me happy. We worked from their collection of vintage handkerchiefs (more textiles, which I love) and added in a few from my family's collection. The girls screen-printed our invites directly on the handkerchiefs. It was so much fun to match a handkerchief to a couple (each invite was totally different, so we tried to match colors, patterns, and styles to people's personalities and tastes). I saved my favorite two to frame, and I know I'll hold on to them for the rest of my life as fond reminders of a special day that combined my love of old things with a new beginning.
