Martha Stewart Weddings

As a community of "doers," we know many of you make the recipes and ideas we share with you online and in our magazines to make your world a little more beautiful, a little more meaningful, and a little more permanent. Now you can upload photos of your marthastewart.com-inspired work to share with the Community Table. We are thrilled to see what you've been up to. As you share your photos, here are a few things you should know:

Get Ready for Your Close-Up

By submitting an image, you are giving us permission to edit your photo and display it online and on TV. If we decide to use your photos, we may contact you for additional information.

Show Us Your Stuff

We want to see what you've done -- your own projects, ideas, and successes (and interesting flops). So please only submit photos of work that you have done. If you upload copyrighted images or try to pass off another member's work as your own, the photos will be removed and your account may be deleted.

Make Your Work Shine

So-so pictures can make even the most dazzling work look lackluster. Pay special attention to lighting and staging when you photograph your projects. Zoom in close to showcase a sweet detail, or picture your work in context: Set a beautiful Thanksgiving table to show off your perfectly roasted turkey; nest decorated eggs in a pretty basket. Minimize unattractive shadows and distracting backgrounds (you love your ornate wallpaper, but the camera may not). Are your photos still uninspired? Check out the pictures in your favorite magazines for styling ideas.

Optimize Your Images

Before you upload your digital images, you may want to use a photo-editing program (e.g., Photoshop or the software included with your digital camera) to tweak the colors and contrast, or to crop the image more artistically. For optimal onscreen viewing, make sure your pictures are saved at 72 dpi.

Use Your Best Judgment

You are responsible for everything you upload. If you wouldn't be comfortable sharing your photos with your children or parents, they probably don't belong at the Community Table. Inappropriate images will be removed. Illegal or prohibited content will be reported to the authorities.

Help Us Moderate

We'll always do our best to ensure that the Community Table is a safe and encouraging space for sharing, but we're counting on your help as well. Let us know if you spot a copyrighted image or a picture that just doesn't belong at the Community Table by reporting it as inappropriate.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at communitytable@marthastewart.com.

You need to accept the contest rules before uploading a photo.

I agree to the above terms and conditions.
