Guests pull out their cards to discover their table numbers, which are hidden behind the shells. To get the fan-shaped mollusks to stand, we anchored them in polymer clay, then baked them in the oven. Card Holder How-To 2. Place a note card in between shells, then insert the bottom of the shells into the clay. Remove card, and continue with remaining shells. 3. Bake in the oven, following clay-package directions. It's best to make several more holders than you need, in case a few shells close up too tightly after baking and resist opening. Planning Tools
