Eye Enhancer
Raychel Wade, makeup artist and owner of Cheek to Chic Cosmetic Consulting in New York City, uses MAC Paint in Bare Canvas on lids before applying eye shadow. It evens out skin tone, makes eyes look bigger, and "gets the 'wow' factor every time," she says.
MAC, $16.50.
Wake-Up Call
To make sleepy eyes look wide-awake, Wade brightens the inner rims of clients' lower eyelids with Three Custom Color Specialists' Light Clarifier, a nude-colored eyeliner.
Three Custom Color Specialists, $14.
The Ethereal Look
A dab of Givenchy Mister Lighta pen-like concealer with light-reflecting pigments on the corner of eyes near the nose, brightens them in pictures, says Wade.
Givenchy, $31, sephora.com.
Great Lengths
False lashes are a wedding-day must, according to many pros. Wade uses short, black individual lashes for a dramatic effect that also looks natural. Her favorite is Andrea Perma-Lash Flair, Short Black.
Andrea, $3.29, drugstore.com.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Tweezers, $28, sephora.com.
A Shimmery Touch
Wade dusts Sue Devitt E-Z Eye shadows, which come in sheer hues, over any colored eye shadow for a shimmery effect.
Sue Devitt, $18, ulta.com.
Defining Moment
Many makeup artists prefer gel eyeliners, such as Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. It sets very quickly and stays on all day.
Bobbi Brown, $19.
The Finishing Touch
Makeup artist Jenna Menard applies Maybelline Define-a-Lash Waterproof Mascara. This product will thicken and darken even the lightest of lashes and last through the teariest of toasts.
Maybelline, $8, drugstores.com.
