Cake creator Sylvia Weinstock has been called the Leonardo da Vinci of her craft. Recently, she stopped by "The Martha Stewart Show" to give brides some pointers for picking out the perfect wedding cake.

Sylvia's Tips:
- Visit reputable bakers and sample their cakes.
- If your wedding is a daytime event taking place in warmer weather, serve a lighter cake, such as lemon-curd cream with fresh raspberries.
- If your special day falls in the winter or is a dinner celebration, a richer cake may be more satisfying; try chocolate or hazelnut.
