Last weekend, Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee—a celebration marking her 70 years on the throne—came to a close. The events that took place over the course of the jubilee were truly meaningful. The royal family gathered from around the world to honor the Queen, including Prince William and Kate Middleton. "What a fantastic weekend of celebrations. Seeing people across the nation coming together with family, friends and loved ones has been extremely special," the royal couple wrote on Twitter.

"Thank you to everyone who turned out to show their gratitude to The Queen and her inspiring 70 years of leadership," the pair added. "From the crowds on the Mall to communities hosting street parties up and down the country, we hope you had a weekend to remember."

Prince William and Kate's three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—were all in attendance for the most highly covered parts of the Platinum Jubilee, such as the Trooping the Colour and the Platinum Jubilee Pageant. During the latter, the couple's 4-year-old playfully poked fun at his mom in the front row of the event. To commemorate the hilarious moment and other ones throughout the celebration, Prince William and Kate joked, "We all had an incredible time, especially Louis…"

The couple signed the message with their initials "W & C" to complete their recap of their time at the event. The social media post also featured several photos from the celebration. Snaps of Prince George smiling alongside his great-grandmother and Kate crouching down next to all of three of her kids made their way into the post on their Kensington Royal account. The last photo featured a black-and-white photo of Prince William and Prince Louis walking side by side during the Trooping the Colour event.
