Star Trek fans will love this news! Terry Farrell, who played Jadzia Dax on the spinoff series Deep Space Nine, is marrying another Star Trek celeb. The actress is engaged to Adam Nimoy, the son of the late Leonard Nimoy, who played Spock on the hit show.
Rumors of the union hit Twitter on Friday when Scott Mantz, a film critic and self-proclaimed Trekker, shared this excited announcement: "RT BREAKING NEWS!! How's THIS for #StarTrek ROYALTY?? TERRY FARRELL & ADAM NIMOY are ENGAGED!! May their love & union LLAP!!"
After some were worried that the news was too good to be true, Farrell set the record straight. "OMG. Are u serious?! Is this serious!! This ain't fake news, right, cause THIS would be awesome," one Twitter user wrote. The new fiancée cleared up any confusion, responding, "It's for real." Fans were overjoyed by the proposal, sending well wishes to the couple. Farrell acknowledged the outpouring of love, expressing her gratitude on the social media platform. Farrell and Nimoy have been dating for some time and went public with their relationship last year. They also appeared together at Star Trek's convention in Las Vegas last month. Aside from working on a documentary about his beloved father, For the Love of Spock, Nimoy is directing an upcoming documentary on his soon-to-be spouse's old show. The work is titled What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek Deep.
