Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs have been an item for a while now. The actor proposed to the singer in 2015, but they've kept largely mum about their relationship ever since. Now, Pattinson is explaining why, and his reasoning makes a lot of sense. In an interview with Howard Stern, he dished on the decision.
When asked about his connection with Twigs, he revealed they're "kind of" still engaged. Whatever that means, we can't really say, but he did expand a little on the haziness of his response. Apparently, Twilight fans have been intruding on his love life, with some even bullying his fiancée with racism-laden posts, reports People.
"So you kind of think, to protect it, I want to create a big boundary," he told Stern. Pattinson sounded notably bothered by the lack of privacy his followers have given him, calling deciding what to share with the public "one of the most frustrating things in the world." Nevertheless, the star couldn't help but praise FKA Twigs. He agreed with Stern that "she's amazing," and that "she's super talented" too.
While we're all for learning about a potential celebrity wedding, we have to respect the stars' privacy. Living out a romance in the media's eye is tough—we hope the quiet couple stays happily under the radar!
