Julianne Hough's Stylist & Wedding Dress Designers Dish on Her Two Stunning Looks

When Julianne Hough married NHL star Brooks Laich last weekend, the Dancing With the Stars pro stunned in two separate bridal ensembles. And the team behind the gorgeous designs-Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, and the bride's stylist Anita Patrickson-is opening up about the details of both of the new bride's wedding looks. Plus, they're sharing how her second style managed to be a one-of-a-kind, three-in-one style.

While Hough is no stranger to designer gowns (between her DWTS judging looks and red carpet appearances, she's donned hundreds of statement-making dresses), People reports that when it came to her wedding dress the actress and performer was involved in every step of the design process.

"Julianne's been to the [Golden] Globes, the Oscars, the SAGs…everything!" said Patrickson. "It was really quite hard and I think the one thing we both talked about and felt we really wanted to find was to find something that felt really classic, really elegant and really clean. We wanted something very fresh, and something she would not look back on in 10 years times and say, 'Oh God what was I thinking?'"

It's clear Hough's wedding dress met those requests perfectly! The classic, strapless gown she wore for the ceremony used more than 20 yards of silk radzimir, and the back featured 37 buttons. The bride went full Marchesa for the ensemble, finishing her look with a tiered tulle veil made by the designers. Chapman and Craig even used blue tread to stitch "Custom Marchesa for Julianne" into the gown as Hough's "something blue."

But the real statement came when Hough went in an entirely different direction for her reception dress. For the dance floor-ready look, Marchesa designed a three-piece ensemble that incorporated a bodysuit covered in hand-beaded pearls and crystals, a tulle skit, and a sparkling illusion cape. "Julianne wanted a dress that she could dance the night away in," Chapman explained, according to People. The three-in-one approach allowed the bride to slip out of her cape and skirt and hit the dance floor in her reception-approved bodysuit whenever the mood hit.

"Jules had really done the work in finding the inspiration pictures for the reception dress," Patrickson added. "Jules wanted to party and dance and get crazy which is why we came up with this idea of three different looks in one. It was something a little bit different but Marchesa really ran with us as well and they came up with a lot of it and we just all worked together as a team, which was really cool." We'll say!
