Pippa Middleton and James Matthews tied the knot on Saturday, and the details of their spectacular day just keep rolling in. Yesterday we saw their elegant wedding invitations and heard all about their decadent dinner menu. Now, we're getting a little more insight into the couple's three-part celebration and where the new Mr. and Mrs. are reportedly spending their honeymoon.
As we previously mentioned, Middleton and Matthews made their union official with a ceremony at St. Mark's Church, followed by a champagne brunch at the Englefield Estate where the chapel is located. Guests, including tennis stars Tim Herman and Roger Federer, Princess Eugenie, Prince William, Duchess Kate, Prince Harry, and, of course, Meghan Markle, then reconvened for the reception at the Middletons' mansion, dubbed "Bucklebury Manor," for the formal reception, ABC News reports. In order to gain entrance to the grounds, guests were required to recite a special password that matched their passport.
The highlight of the day, ABC News and multiple British tabloids report, was an intense ping pong match between the princes and Wimbledon champ Federer. And who can forget Prince George and Princess Charlotte's adorable outfits? According to E! News, the coordinated attire was designed by Pepa & Co. "It was truly an honor to be part of this project and I was excited to take on the commission for all the bridesmaid and page boy outfits," said Pepa Gonzalez, designer of Pepa & Co., in a statement. "We have such good memories of designing these bespoke garments for the children who all look so adorable and cute in their outfits."
After their busy wedding weekend, Middleton and Matthews set off on their much-deserved honeymoon yesterday morning. The newlyweds were spotted at Los Angeles International Airport Monday morning on their way to the South Pacific. The couple will reportedly enjoy a stay at the Brando resort on Tetiaroa island, just north of Tahiti. The eco-resort is super-exclusive and has played host to Barack and Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, and Bruce Springsteen, ABC News reports, and is known to be incredibly private.
There, the couple will enjoy impeccable cuisine from a Michelin star chef and retreat to one of the property's 35 incredible cottages. It sounds like the perfect place for a relaxing getaway!
