Country singer Sam Hunt is opening up about the details of married life—and they're all good! The performer made his way down the rest carpet at last night's 2017 Billboard Music Awards and shared an update one month after his wedding to wife Hannah Lee Fowler.
"She's beautiful," he told E! News while offering a glimpse at his wedding band. "It feels great—there's a spiritual strength to it, and I feel a little bit taller now that I'm wearing [my ring]." The star also opened up about the ACM awards, where he surprised his then-fiancée by serenading her during his performance of "Body Like a Back Road."
"I told her that I might come down," Hunt said about the moment. "I don't think she knew I was going to plop down beside her. I had to nudge her over. She didn't want to scoot over. She finally did." And although Fowler seemed unsure of the sudden spotlight, she embraced it in the end. "It was her first time to an awards show like that," Hunt explained. "This is her second one so I wanted to just kind of throw her in the deep end."
Sounds like love to us! While Hunt opted to avoid a follow-up spotlight situation with his wife at last night's show (he performed the same song from the ACM awards), he's clearly enjoying every moment of newly married life.
