Steph Curry Used His Wife's Cookbook as Inspiration for His Newest Sneaker Design

Just in time for Mother's Day!

Professional basketball player Steph Curry just created a special pair of sneakers for his wife, Ayesha—just in time for Mother's Day! While we already love the idea of the personalized shoes, we're especially wowed by where the Golden State Warriors point guard's idea came from: Curry looked to his wife's cookbook, The Seasoned Life, to help stir up inspiration for the special pair of kicks. Does that sound like the perfect gift or what?

14 Cookbooks Every Newlywed Needs

The Under Armour high tops are a mix of gray, orange, and white with a hint of light green thanks to the lining along the bottom—a perfect match for his wife's collection of recipes. But what's even cooler is the bottom of the shoe. When you turn it upside down, you can see the title of the cookbook and the word "chef" over it, a true one-of-a-kind design. Both husband and wife posted a photo of the shoes and book on their Instagram accounts, including a sweet surprise in their captions. The couple mentioned that they're having an exclusive giveaway for new customers who place an order for her meal kit service.

The NBA player's caption read, "In honor of Mother's Day! @ayeshacurry and I decided to do a giveaway exclusive to her @cookhomemademeals new customers!!! Order a meal kit and enter the promo code: STEPH30 for free shipping and you will automatically be entered to win a signed copy of @ayeshacurry cookbook #theseasonedlife and a signed pair of my @uabasketball Curry3zero Mother's Day special editions! #cookhomemade#uabasketball"

A chance to win a signed copy of the cookbook and pair of exclusives, plus testing out the meal kit? Sounds like a deal to us. We love this collaboration and the inspiration behind these sweet high tops!
