John Stamos Just Helped This Man Pop the Question

Have mercy.

Not sure how to pull off the perfect wedding proposal? Doug Cox just found the ultimate solution: Convince John Stamos propose for you. When the San Francisco-based director decided to pop the question, he knew just the route to take to convince his Stamos superfan girlfriend, Katrina, to say "yes," and reached out to the Fuller House star immediately. While Cox initially requested a signed photo from Stamos, the actor took things one step further and sent a personalized video instead.

Celebrity Proposal Stories You Have To Hear

"You see, John," Cox wrote in his letter, according to People. "My girlfriend has a John Stamos problem. Therefore…I have a John Stamos problem. I want to marry this woman. But there is a brick wall in the way that resembles a 6-foot-tall Greek god with better hair than me. And John, I have fantastic hair." Cox went on to offer that if the actor himself wouldn't marry Katrina, the least Stamos could do would be to ask her to marry Cox instead.

Stamos did that and more. The actor's video, which he recorded in response to Cox's letter, was the perfect surprise. "From what I see here…you're a handsome man, you have nice hair, good beard, got beautiful blue eyes," Stamos said in his video. "Katrina, I would say yes to this. If I was a woman, and I'm not saying I'm not, I would say yes to young Doug. So I guess this is me asking you to marry him. And I hope you do."

Cox recorded his girlfriend's reaction and used the footage to create a whole new video, which you can watch above. "This was a shot in the dark," Cox told People. Knowing her obsession all too well, I just thought it would be funny if he signed a photo and asked. I figured I'd wrap the photo and propose that way…What I got back was beyond generous and it became something much bigger." Tell us about it! If Katrina's reaction tells us anything, John Stamos may just have a new career in wedding proposals!
