Necktie-Shaped Save the Date

THE TOOLS

  • Necktie Save the Date Templates (Front and Back)
  • Scissors

  • Glue stick

  • Double sided tape

HOW TO

  1. Download the two templates: one for the front with text and one for the back with stripes. Open the PDF for the inside of the tie in Adobe Acrobat.
  2. Customize the text on the front with your names and wedding date.
  3. Print equal amounts of the inside template and the outside striped template on 8.5" x 11" matte Kraft paper.
  4. Cut out the front and back pieces. Cut out the rectangular "We're Tying the Knot" piece and set aside.
  5. Using a glue stick, adhere the front and back pieces together, with the text and stripes facing outward.
  6. Fold the save the date according to the dotted lines on the template. First, fold the left side lengthwise, so the edge hits the center of the tie. Repeat with right side lengthwise. Then, fold the paper in half to create a tie shape.
  7. Wrap the "We're Tying the Knot" piece around the tie, and attach with a piece of double-sided tape.
  8. Slip into an envelope and send it off!
