They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, right? That may be true in some cases, but as Katy Perry revealed in a Q&A with Women's Wear Daily, the singer, who lives in Los Angeles, is not such a fan of commuting to see her boyfriend, Orlando Bloom.

For long-distance relationships, the struggle is real, and Perry is getting real about it! "There's no pop-over," she continued, "and I never really got used to Malibu 'cause it's halfway to [my hometown] Santa Barbara, so I'm always just going to Santa Barbara then. I get the whole coming to L.A. and living by the beach thing. But it's really … it's so far, nobody [who lives in town] is going to come see you."
Well, we take it she means nobody except Bloom. The actor has even visited her hometown, which is about an hour from Malibu. "I still spend a lot of time there because I grew up there," she said. "I grew up in the poorest part of Santa Barbara ... Actually my boyfriend didn't even believe me and I was like, 'I'm going to drive you by my house' and you can Google Earth it."
If missing each other is the biggest issue in their relationship, it sounds like they're doing well. The couple started seeing each other in January, and ever since then, engagement rumors have been circulating. "He would love to settle down with Katy and have more kids," a source told People last month. "He hasn't been this serious about a girl since Miranda [Kerr]." But Perry has reportedly been taking it slow, after her difficult divorce from Russell Brand. "She's not going to rashly make a huge commitment like marriage again unless she thinks it's absolutely right," said the source.
