Oyster Shooter

Put a spicy and exciting twist on fresh, briny oysters and serve these boozy chasers with the freshly-shucked delicacies.

  • Lime wedges, from about 1 lime
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 12 ounces mescal or tequila
  • Agua Verde
  • 24 oysters in the half shell


  1. Run a lime wedge around the edges of shot glasses; dip glass rims into a shallow dish of salt and chili powder to coat.

  2. Add 1/2 ounce mescal or tequila and 1 ounce Agua Verde to each glass.

  3. Top each glass with an oyster. Serve immediately.
