Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing

Owners Tereasa and David bought Camp Wandawega and renovated it for their own wedding, featured in the 2009 travel issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. Now they lend the site to family, friends, and lucky renters who want to experience the beauty of the grounds, located just under a two-hour drive from Chicago.

What We Love: Wandawega is not just any old campsite. It also was a Prohibition-era speakeasy, mob hideout, and Latvian church camp!

What We Love: Since there is no cell-phone service or Wi-Fi, take advantage of the grounds to go apple picking, swim at the waterfront, or challenge your father-in-law to a friendly game of tennis.
Book It: Fees are $6,500 for a two-day weekend and $7,300 for a three-day weekend, including use of the facilities and four hours of waterfront use. Lodging per person ranges from $110 to $185 for two nights and $165 to $277 for three nights. Ohana has a minimum 60-person occupancy for two nights.
