Burnt Sugar Popcorn Topping
Peter Callahan of Peter Callahan Catering in New York City created this recipe to sweeten up your next batch of plain popcorn. Sprinkle it on by hand, or fill a 10-ounce shaker with it to let others share in the fun. Bonus: You can label the shakers with our clip art.

- 2 cups granulated sugar
- Vegetable oil
Brush vegetable oil on a rimmed baking sheet and set aside.
Pour sugar into a medium sauce pan over medium heat.
Stir with a wooden spoon until sugar caramelized and the temperature reaches 320 degrees.
Pour the sugar into the baking sheet and let cool until it hardens.
Using a fork, break the sugar into small pieces and grind them in a food processor. Pour mixture into shaker.
