Olga and Dave
Olga and Dave wanted an intimate, rustic, sophisticated, and relaxed wedding. After finding J&D Farms, they began crafting their vision. And on April 20, 2013, they tied the knot with an organic, outdoor ceremony, followed by a feast and plenty of merriment.
The Stationery
Wispy calligraphy by Sarah Robins Design set the tone for the stationery suite.
The Fashions
Olga dazzled in a Wtoo by Watters gown, Startrim sash, and headpiece by Powder Blue Bijoux. David looked dapper in a Hugo Boss suit.
The Bridal Bouquet
Olga carried a clutch of roses, ranunculus, veronica, and dusty miller designed by Mandy Busby.
The Boutonnieres
Dave and his three groomsmen amped up their lapels with boutonnieres of petite roses, snow berries, cedar sprigs, and hypericum berries.
The Ceremony
White pews were set up in the orchard for the ceremony, with urns holding floral arrangements flanking the bride and groom. Musical selections included an instrumental version of Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" for the bride's procession, and "Ho Hey" by the Lumineers as the couple walked up the aisle together as husband and wife.
Cocktail Hour
A friend who is a deejay at a local radio station curated a playlist of smooth jazz to play during the alfresco cocktail hour by the pool.
Cocktail Fare
Attendees noshed on charcuterie and cheeses.
Delicious Drinks
Fruit-infused water and iced tea were on hand during cocktail hour and the reception that followed.
Lovely Florals
Arrangements of roses, hydrangea, and veronica accented the location's natural beauty.
The Reception
The barn and neighboring grounds provided the backdrop for the reception. Long tables were set up in both areas.
The Reception Tables
The 70 guests sat at long tables anchored with centerpieces of roses, hydrangea, cedar sprigs, and veronica and scattered votive candles. Gold chairs and rimmed plates added a bit of luster.
The Menu
Guests feasted on a buffet of filet mignon, salmon, asparagus, parsley salad, grilled tomatoes and yellow squash, and roasted potatoes.
The Guest List
Family and friends traveled from near and far—with the brides' parents flying in from Belarus, a groomsman coming from India, and others from different parts of Europe—to share in the revelry of the nuptials.
A Happy Day
The happy couple lucked out with perfect weather, too—70 degrees and sunny.
Petite Sweets
Mini cakes were served for dessert.
S'mores for All
After dinner, everyone roasted marshmallows and made s'mores over an open fire.
