A Romantic Garden Destination Wedding in Florida

Jodie Snyder and Greg Morel ventured south from their home in New York City to Florida to tie the knot on April 27, 2013. Their venue, Lightner Museum, formerly a historic attraction, was a perfect fit for the fete, which celebrated the bride's Sunshine State roots and the groom's French lineage. The romantic garden wedding had touches of the South of France, Old World charm, and a bit of Dickens' "Great Expectations."

The engraved invites were adorned with the couple's initials.

Green and Gorgeous

Bridesmaids wore custom Timo Weiland dresses with lace bodices and billowing skirts. They accessorized with verdant gems by Dannijo, the jewelry company Jodie co-founded.

Two shades of green bracelets (and matching earrings) rounded out the bridal party's accessories—which were a gift from the bride.

The Maid of Honor

Jodie's sister Danielle—the other half of the jewelry-designing duo—sported a gown by J.Mendel and custom Dannijo jewels.

Three flower girls in Geminola dresses and sashes sprinkled rose petals at the pre-dusk ceremony.

The Grand Entrance

Jodie, carrying an all-white bouquet of roses, peonies, and sweet peas, was escorted down the aisle by father and mother (who donned a Carlos Miele ensemble).

The Ceremony

The 200 guests witnessed the al fresco service in the garden. It concluded with the groom stomping a glass, a Jewish tradition.

The Happy Couple

The new Mrs. Morel wore a Monique Lhuillier gown and veil, Jimmy Choo shoes, and Dannijo jewelry, while her husband looked dapper in a navy Burberry tuxedo.

Escort cards were displayed on vintage sterling silver trays belonging to the women in Jodie's family.

The Reception

Round dinner tables were dressed up with tall arrangements of hydrangea, roses, and amaranth.

The Menus

The couple's monogram was embroidered in gold on the linen dinner napkins. Guests feasted on caprese salad, filet mignon, halibut, artichoke soufflé, and potatoes dauphinoise—all prepared by Catering by Liz Grenamyer.
