Shoshana and Jeremy
On their first date, Shoshana Wolf, a personal chef, presented Jeremy Bohrer, a lawyer, with a sweet gift: a homemade red velvet cupcake. And just like that, the New York City dwellers, who had met briefly two summers prior at a charity beach party on Long Island, officially became a couple. A year and a half after what Shoshana describes as "falling into life together very simply and quickly" with Jeremy and his now 9-year-old daughter, Sophie, the two were ready to make their courtship permanent. On a weekend getaway in 2010, back on the beach where they'd first met, Jeremy proposed. The couple married on May 21, 2011, in St. Helena, California.
The Processional
Shoshana's mom and dad led her down the aisle.
The Ceremony
The duo exchanged vows under a huppa among 115 guests. After the traditional Jewish service, the newlyweds walked back up the aisle to "Something to Talk About," by Bonnie Raitt, Shoshana's favorite musician. "Jeremy indulges me," she says with a laugh.
Family Time
Shoshana and two of her brothers—who served as groomsmen—took a snap together post-ceremony in the Durham Ranch courtyard.
Bites to Eat
Soba-glazed Black Mission figs with mascarpone rocked cocktail hour.
The Cocktails
One of the drinks of the day? A mint julep.
Modern Seating Chart
Architectural blueprints inspired the board's cool look.
The Decor
Light fixtures were washtubs outfitted with lamp kits.
On the Menu
The bride leveraged her cooking expertise in planning the meal. Before a raucous dance party commenced, their friends and relatives dived into a family-style meal of asparagus soup, roasted beets, rack of lamb, and local veggies. Tiny Pine Press created the menu cards.
The First Dance
Shoshana and Jeremy grooved to John Hyatt's "Have a Little Faith In Me" before what the bride calls "the best Hora ever."
Staying Warm
The couple provided scarves for guests to wrap themselves in to ward off the chilly Northern California's night.
