Elizabeth and Patrick's Mountain Wedding
When Elizabeth and Patrick met after being set up on a coffee date, it was the first and last blind date either of them would ever go on—but for a good reason! The pair had instant chemistry, and on March 16, 2013—two-and-a-half years after their romance began—they tied the knot at the Four Seasons in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Their intimate wedding weekend combined Old World elegance and rustic warmth, with the snow-capped Teton Mountains as the backdrop.
The Stationery
The couple's invitations were engraved in black and embellished with a gold rim.
The Bride's Blooms
Ian Whipple created the bride's bouquet of ranunculus, calla lilies, and dusty miller.
The Fashions
Elizabeth wore an Ines di Santo gown (fitted by the designer herself) from Bergdorf Goodman, which she complemented with a fur coat. Patrick looked sharp in his Marine Corps dress blues.
Something Blue
Patrick's grandmother was unable to travel to the wedding. As a way to incorporate her into the couple's big day, Elizabeth had her name embroidered inside her dress as her "something blue."
The Bridesmaids
Elizabeth's two cousins were glamorous bridesmaids in black jacquard David Meister gowns.
Bridesmaids' Bouquets
The 'maids carried ivory bouquets made of calla lilies, ranunculus, and dusty miller.
Dapper Gents
Patrick asked his two brothers to be his groomsmen.
Ceremony Decor
Ceremony floral arrangements included bold ranunculus and roses mixed with berries and foliage.
Crested Programs
Each ceremony program was printed, bound, and tasseled for a one-of-a-kind look. The front cover displayed Elizabeth's family crest. On the back cover was the groom's family crest, a nod to the bride's new married status.
The Ceremony
The couple recited their vows in a traditional service at St. John's Episcopal Church. Elizabeth's best friend and Patrick's sister gave the readings.
Escort Cards
The bride and her mother selected a variety of fonts and designs from Western Illuminated Manuscripts as inspiration for the escort cards, as well as the menu.
A Cozy Tablescape
Floral centerpieces were warmed up by gold candelabras and votive candles.
On the Menu
Menus atop golden chargers listed the evening's fare: mesquite-smoked beef tenderloin with bacon lyonnaise potato and truffle mushroom sauce.
The First Dance
The pair shared their first dance to "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King.
Father of the Bride Cake
Since Elizabeth's father loves chocolate so much, the couple also served a double chocolate "father of the bride" cake with chocolate bark and leaf details.
