Rum Syrup

  • Yield: Makes 1 1/3 cups


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons light rum


  1. Bring sugar and the water to a boil in a saucepan, stirring constantly until sugar has dissolved. Reduce heat; simmer, without stirring, 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and stir in rum. Let cool completely.
