Catherine Ann Bosworth—better known as actress Kate Bosworth—married writer-director Michael Joseph Polish in Montana on August 31, 2013. We were thrilled to be there to help them pull off their Big Sky big day! Here, the new Mr. and Mrs. Polish pose for a portrait, the bride in one of two custom Oscar de la Renta dresses and the groom in Brooks Brothers.

Our exclusive story and photos of the nuptials will appear in the Winter issue of Martha Stewart Weddings (December). Can't wait? Neither can we! Starting now, we'll be running behind-the-scenes snaps and party pictures from events leading up to their I do's!

Hello, Montana!

The four-day celebration was held at The Ranch at Rock Creek, which is situated on 6,600 scenic acres of private land near Philipsburg, Montana (population: 930). It's an incredible place—rolling hills, rivers, mountains, meadows, wildflowers— except for cell phone reception! The couple and their guests stayed on the property.

Meeting the Locals

We ran into some friendly steer along the way. Then, at the ranch, guests, including actress Lake Bell and her new husband, tattoo artist Scott Campbell, had the chance to ride horses, fish, skeet shoot, hike, and test their archery skills.

We started collaborating with Kate and Michael several weeks ago. They secured the place, invited their guests, and then we came in to help enhance the look and feel of each of their events. The couple, who are huge fans of Montana (Michael's paternal side is from there), chose the location for its privacy and rustic old-world charm.

The Warm Welcome

Our creative team worked with the couple's monogram, designed by the groom as a twist on a rancher's brand, and applied it to various party elements, like these welcome bags. One item inside? Locally bottled huckleberry soda. Each burlap tote also included a handwritten message from the duo.

Succulents were also put to good use as welcome-party décor. Want to see all the fun from that night? Stay tuned! We will be posting those pictures and more soon. Be the first to see them by liking us on Facebook or following us on Twitter!
