Meredith and Adam's Georgia Wedding
Meredith and Adam met through mutual friends in June of 2011 while they were living in Atlanta. They instantly connected and were engaged seven months later. Ten months after that, on November 3, 2012, they tied the knot in a romantic garden setting filled with soft colors and earthy touches.
Calligraphed Invitations
The couple's letterpressed Bella Figura invitations featured a leaf motif and scrawling script.
All-White Flowers
Meredith's snow-white bouquet included gardenias, dahlias, garden roses, spray roses, ranunculus, and peonies.
The Fashions
The grounds of Barnsley Gardens provided a picturesque backdrop for the couple's portraits. The bride paired her Vera Wang gown with Kate Spade shoes. The groom wore a Sid Mashburn suit.
Blush Bridesmaids
Meredith's 'maids wore soft pink floor-length Joanna August gowns from Bella Bridesmaid.
Burlap Boutonniere
Adam pinned a unique burlap bloom, custom-made by Jackson Durham, to his lapel.
Keeping Warm
Blue blankets, displayed in a basket and marked with a sign from Georgia Ann's Paperie, were on hand so that guests could get cozy during the ceremony. After the wedding, they were donated to a shelter.
Dramatic Ceremony Arrangement
A stately urn filled with maple vine, white hydrangea, autumnal chrysanthemum, majolica spray roses, and Dutch Queen Anne's lace marked the entrance to the ceremony.
Hand-Painted Signage
Signs painted to match the couple's invitation calligraphy directed guests to the various areas of the celebration.
Shutter Seating Display
Escort cards were placed in shutters, which the bride picked up at an antiques store.
Wooden Menu
A large sign created by Back40Life listed the evening's cuisine, which was served buffet-style.
Simple Centerpieces
Full centerpieces of pee gee hydrangea, David Austin garden roses, Queen Anne's lace, and dusty miller topped long farmhouse tables.
A Unique Focal Point
Jackson Durham created an installation made with branches, candles, and glass orbs that hung above the head table.
Mr. and Mrs.
Meredith loved these pillows—a pre-wedding gift from her sister—so much that she used them to designate the bride and groom's chairs at the reception.
The First Dance
Adam proposed to Meredith with an original song he wrote especially for her. He recorded the song so it could play for the couple's first dance.
Desserts Aplenty
Guests could indulge in three different cake flavors for dessert; salted caramel, tiramisu, and "black tie" (chocolate).
Blooming Details
Each confection was topped with fresh flowers.
Hand-Rolled Cigars
Fresh cigars were on site for guests to enjoy at the reception or take home with them.
Unique Guest Book Idea
In lieu of a guest book, loved ones left notes for the newlyweds on wooden hearts.
A Sparkly Departure
The celebration ended with a fun-filled sparkler sendoff.
