But when one of Christy's friends got engaged, the new Yorkers picked up the pace. Jason "souped up" Christy's great- grandmother's antique ring setting by having the diamonds replace, then invited her over, where the ring -- and a bottle of dom Perignon -- awaited. The Christy–designed stationery incorporated colors with significance: gold (for her engagement ring), blush (her wedding gown), and blue (Jason's favorite color). She scanned a retro postcard from York, Maine, a nearby coastal resort town where the bride's grandmother lived, and printed it with gold foil for the save-the-dates.
