From New York to Africa and Alaska, Justine Delaney, a DJ and pastry chef, and Eamonn Vitt, a physician specialist in family and HIV medicine, returned (with frequent-flyer miles) to their Manhattan home for a summer wedding that was big on life, love, and really good music.

After the ceremony, the happy couple posed in NYC. Justine wore a Jenny Packham gown.

A quirky coat of arms featuring an Alaskan musk ox and herring (a reference to Eamonn's time spent in Alaska) adorned the couple's letterpressed invitation suite. 

"I wanted a free-form, organic arrangement that would reflect the loose vibe of the day," Justine says of her vibrant bouquet, which grouped together garden roses, nigella, and dusty miller tied with a pair of deep blue satin ribbons. 

Justine’s dazzling accents included (from left): An Art Deco fish-scale bracelet, antique diamond-and-opal drop earrings, a Judith Ripka Estate gold-and-diamond cuff, and a Victorian diamond-and-pearl bangle.

The couple wed in the New York Marble Cemetery, a serene East Village gem dating back to 1830, tucked behind wrought-iron gates. 

Justine's attendants, including her two younger sisters (far left and second from left), picked out their own ensembles in shades of pink and blue, while her man of honor donned a crisp black suit.

Eamonn's younger brothers, who both served as best men, sported J.Crew suits and big grins. The groom's tuxedo was also from J.Crew.

As a tribute to Eamonn’s stint in Alaska, feathers from the state bird, the ptarmigan, surrounded a sprig of nigella.

The flower girl, the groom's niece, dressed in one of the bride's favorite French labels, Jacadi.

The groom's nephews made handsome ring bearers in Mini Boden gingham shirts, custom bow ties from Tie Crafters, and old-school Chuck Taylors. 

Before the ceremony, guests enjoyed Arnold Palmers, Justine's favorite drink, plain or spiked with vodka. 

Celebrants took stylish cover from the 90-plus degree heat. 

The crowd stayed cool with paper parasols and fans as they applauded the brand-new Mr. and Mrs.

A trio of revelers struck a pose before heading across town to the reception.

Justine and Eamonn (wearing street-vendor sunglasses) directed the procession from the East Village ceremony to the Soho reception. "It was nice to show our out-of-towners the area," says the bride.

Partygoers file into Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, their reception site and a nonprofit that supports the homeless and HIV-positive. The 150 guests were later joined by an additional 80 invitees for dessert and dancing. 

In keeping with the literary theme of the reception location, letterpressed bookmarks, calligraphed with attendees' names, led them to their seats. 

These books, handmade by Benjamin Reynaert, were used as reception decor. 

Brightly colored floral centerpiece and flickering votice candles set a romantic scene.

As a professional baker, the bride was determind to select just the right delights for the couple's impressive dessert spread. Highlights included a Payard croquembouche, Laduree macarons, and Whimsy & Spice vanilla-rose marshmallows.

The pair glided to the Twin Peaks theme song, “Falling,” by Julee Cruise.

Following their first dance, the newlyweds shared an impromptu spin with Eamonn's mother and father to The Pogues' version of "Dirty Old Town."

Wan Chi Ming Dragon and Lion Dance Team, a traditional Chinatown dance troupe, surprised guests with a performance after Justine's parents gave a final toast—one of the couple's favorite moments of the night.

Partygoers redeemed these custom paper cutous for gelato and sorbetto.

Guests cashed in their tickets for cold treats from a L'Arte del Gelato cart parked out front.

Pretty paper boxes from Pearl River, lined with pink New York Central Art Supply glassine and filled with Tate's chocolate chip cookies, were offered as tasty takeaways.
