When Larry, an Idaho native, and Rachel saw the gorgeous mountains framing Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch, they knew they had found the perfect venue for both their destination wedding and rehearsal dinner.
The ranch, which boasts original 1930s architecture and delicious local and seasonal cuisine, merges the rustic outdoors with the standards of an upscale hotel.
When the bell rang for dinner, everyone lined up at the enormous smoker, where Chef Andrew had brisket, chicken, local fish, and veggie kabobs to choose from. Corn muffins, coleslaw, and their special BBQ sauce rounded out the menu.
For dessert, guests moved into the ranch’s main room, where friends shared toasts. Then it was time for the ranch’s famous “cowboy cake,” a gooey chocolate cake with a hint of espresso.
