To set the stage for a wedding near the slopes, Peter Shanley and Pauline Montupet welcomed guests from all over the country with a rustic rehearsal dinner at the home of Pauline's aunt and uncle in Greenhorn Gulch, just outside Sun Valley.

The duo dressed to impress to match the laid-back vibe: He showed off his style sense with printed canvas shoes by Rachel Comey, while she looked fresh in a flowing Lanvin skirt and Club Monaco tank.

Cristina Ceccatelli, owner of Cristina's of Sun Valley, prepared a spread that included pulled pork, grilled chicken, homemade buns, Italian coleslaw, salad mixta and "a big mound of crispy bacon that was devoured," she says. For dessert, guests enjoyed frozen watermelon and a rosemary peach tart.

The bride’s mother found the moss "P" online at Gilt Groupe -- a clearinghouse of luxury home, clothing, and food items -- then had to spray it regularly with water for four months to keep it alive.

"It's really hard to find 50-foot long table runners," Pauline says. The solution? She sewed them herself.

Potted herbs serve as savory-scented centerpieces.

Pauline and her father designed and printed the escort cards that hung from twine and mini clothespins.

Napkins from ForYourParty.com also feature the signature "P," honoring the couple.

Chips, guacamole, and two types of salsa -- one with basil and one with cilantro -- are at the ready for hungry guests.

Cristina's of Sun Valley also made a selection of chips from Idaho, Peruvian blue, and sweet potatoes.

iPads on twig easels were loaded with images of the happy couple, which guests could scroll through at their leisure.

Monogrammed wooden swizzle sticks from ForYourParty.com helped freshen signature cocktails: bourbon sours and Moscow mules.

After dinner, friends and family turn their attention to the groom's father, who performed a rewritten rendition of Tom Petty's "Wildflowers." "The lyrics were a surprise to everyone," says Peter.
