Erica and Rob

Kim, Erica's sister, met Rob at a concert in 2009. After the show, she texted Erica saying she just found Erica's future husband. Two years later, on August 6, 2011, they tied the knot at the bride's childhood home in Clifton, New Jersey.
Vintage garden elements, DIY decor, and lots of musical touches set the mood. The couple (she's a social worker, and he's a digital imaging specialist for Martha Stewart Living) brought their vision for an intimate late-morning wedding to life with loads of handcrafted details.
After spotting album-inspired save-the-dates in an issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, Erica and Rob decided to customize and send similar ones made by Ello There.
Erica's pink J.Crew dress was jazzed up with Giles and Brother "XO" studs and a custom monogrammed pendant from Blanca Monros Gomez.
Their ceremony arch was decorated with ribbons and tissue paper pom-poms. The paper parasols from Luna Bazaar guarded the 58 guests from the sun during the outdoor ceremony.
The newlyweds and their bridal party posed for photographer Kella MacPhee in their neighbor's yard.
A hand-embroidered hoop from Miniature Rhino held the Blanca Monros Gomez wedding bands.
Erica walked down the aisle to The Beatles' "All My Loving." After the ceremony, hand in hand with her new husband, she walked up the aisle to the band's "And I Love Her." In between, the nature-loving couple planted a lime tree and the bride's brother, Matthew, read from Louis de Bernieres' "Captain Corelli's Mandolin."
Erica wore godetia flowers in her hair. Her bouquet of garden roses, alstroemeria, and heather was tied with ribbons and her late father's wedding band. Both accents were created by Allwood Florist.
A cart stocked with strawberry shortcake ice cream bars was wheeled out for a post-ceremony treat.
A poster by Bleu de Toi featuring the couple's names, wedding date, and a bicycle built for two served as their guest book. Guests were encouraged to create "balloons" with their inked-up thumbs.
The reception took place at Madison Bar and Grill in Hoboken, New Jersey. The brunch buffet included creme brulee French toast, eggs Florentine, frittatas, bagels, croissants, and fresh fruit. It also included savory penne vodka, salad, and a raw bar.
A playlist, created by the groom, of the couple's favorite songs was piped through the restaurant's sound system.
Seed bombs from Visualingual carried the garden theme from the ceremony through to the reception.
Britannia Drew created a pair of bird figurines that resembled the bride and groom. They perched by red velvet cupcakes from Mr. Cupcakes.
