The best man has an important role in the wedding. For Juliet and Gregg, he fulfilled all of his responsibilities and then some -- by setting up the pair back in 2004. Years later, on May 21, 2011, the Texan girl married her beau, a Zimbabwe native, on the island of Grand Cayman. The wedding fused cultures and styles with a Southern vintage ceremony and reception followed by an African-themed afterparty.

Since Gregg popped the question on an elephant ride, they incorporated the gentle giants on their invitation suite, which was designed by Sweet Peony Press.

Juliet and Gregg's ceremony took place at her parents' place on Seven Mile Beach. For the reception, everyone moved to Luca restaurant at the Caribbean Club. Beautiful vistas surrounded the guests throughout the celebration.

Juliet wore a Christos gown and a custom sash from Chic Parisien in Florida. She borrowed a veil from her older sister and jewelry from Gregg's mother.

The groom wore a T.M. Lewin suit.

Juliet carried a bouquet of peonies, sweetpeas, stock, garden roses, ranunculus, and dusty miller wrapped with lace and pinned with a vintage brooch.

Gregg's boutonniere featured a vibrant pop of yellow, thanks to a sunny ranunculus.

Bridesmaids wore Jim Hjelm dresses from Daisy Tarsi.

A program and woven fan sat on each chair at the ceremony.

Paper cones featuring the African quote "Our love is like the misty rain that falls softly, but floods the river …" were filled with flower petals.

Blue and yellow flowers decorated the area.

Juliet was escorted down the aisle by her stepfather, Joseph Imparato.

Juliet's uncle read her favorite Bible verse --1 Corinthians 13 -- and Gregg's father read an African poem in Tswana during the ceremony.

Guests showered the couple with petals as they walked up the aisle.

To bring in a taste of the South and help guests stay cool, lemonade and sweet tea were served in jars decorated with monogrammed flags.

Friends and family wrote their wishes for the pair and hung them on branches.

Flowers floating in the pool added a soft touch to the cocktail hour.

Wedding planner Shari Stutte from Lions Productions helped bring Juliet's vision for the escort-card display to life. Each guest's name was attached to a fresh flower that was slipped into a small tube of water and hung from a dowel.

The 200 guests moved to a tent for dinner. Lace-covered lighting fixtures and white birdcages hung overhead as guests dined, visited the photo booth, and enjoyed the cigar-rolling station.

Low flower arrangements of peonies, hydrangeas, roses, and stock anchored many of the tables.

Tall centerpieces of dusty miller, sweetpeas, roses, and hydrangeas accented other tables.

The elephant-shaped place card holders also served as take-home favors.

Juliet's love for the King goes beyond naming her two cats Elvis and Presley. She chose "Can't Help Falling in Love" for her first-dance song with Gregg.

The newlyweds borrowed Juliet's stepfather's 1930 Packard touring car.
