A couple travel to Paris, the city where they became engaged, for nuptials at a Gothic Revival church followed by a restaurant reception.

In 2009, on their second trip to Paris, Eric created an elaborate sightseeing scavenger hunt, telling Faymi a tour company set it up. The last stop? The banks of the River Seine, where he got down on one knee.

When the couple (now North Carolina residents) returned the following year, it was to trade vows at a gorgeous Gothic Revival church.

The duo designed their invites, lined the envelopes with Paris maps, and finished them with vintage stamps.

The 17 guests -- including the wedding party -- were asked to wear mostly black for a crisp, classic look.

The bride carried a classic bouquet of green-and-white flowers.

Eric and Faymi share a sweet moment.

At Maceo restaurant, the group gathered around a big table, set off by hydrangeas, ranunculus, and lisianthus.

Caramel macarons ring the cream cheese-frosted carrot confection.

"Our photographer surprised us with a construction-paper heart as a fun prop," says the bride.
