Hours after striking up a conversation in a D.C. bar, Chris, a lawyer, and Holly, an ob-gyn, ended up back in his living room locked in a rousing game of Pictionary with friends. "The place closed, but we weren't ready to say good night," says Chris. Nearly three years and countless Scrabble matches later, he proposed. And at the couple's game-themed wedding several months after that, their guests played right along.

Luminarias, which included Holly and Chris's initials, were placed on the stairs of Dumbarton House.

A simple white fondant cake is decorated with flowers, and in keeping with the game theme, Scrabble tiles spell out "CAKE."
