A New York couple who met at a restaurant in Brooklyn marry three and a half years later in a quaint, DIY affair in a location reminiscent of the restaurant in which they met.

In a sweet break from tradition, Eoin and Corinne walk each other down the aisle.

The bride designed her entire invitation suite, including the program. After printing, she colored in the hearts.

Corinne sketched the Empire State Building, scanned it, and printed it on gray card stock for their save-the-dates. Then she and Eoin filled in the clouds with colored pencils and added a heart to the windows. Folded in thirds and sealed with a clear sticker, it gave guests a preview of the iconic structure they would see from the wedding venue.

She also calligraphed the invitation suite in a style that was a little loopy and a whole lot of fun. And she decided to leave the response cards blank so that guests could write in whatever they wished. Their notes were later put in the couple's wedding album.

Corinne and a friend grouped pink and peach anemones, dusty miller, white hyacinth, and rosemary in glasses.

Neil, a friend of Eoin's who was present the night the couple met, got ordained for the occasion and performed the ceremony. "He's Scottish, so he wore a kilt," says Corinne.

Corinne and Eoin are pronounced husband and wife. The bride borrowed her veil from a good friend, who was married the year before.

Three hand-drawn postcards, bundled with white twine, were placed at each setting. Since almost all of the guests were from out of town, the New York City-centric designs focused on classic iconography: the Empire State Building, the easily recognized "I ? NY" logo, and a street scene complete with fire escapes and a little nod to the groom's love of graffiti. Again, the line drawings, printed in black, were colored in by the bride and groom.

"We didn't want the night to be all about us. Our goal was for everyone to have fun," says Corinne.
