Every married couple weathers a few storms, but Patricia and Joseph, both D.C. lawyers, faced a squall before they even got down the aisle. "Our ceremony was planned for the Washington National Cathedral," says the bride, "but a blizzard forced us to change venues [to The Cosmos Club] last minute." In the end, they made it to the altar on time, joined by 100 guests who braved the elements in formal attire to be there.

Joe looks dapper in tails, while his bride shines in floor-length tulle and lace.

"I loved crunching through the fresh powder," says Tricia, here with her bridesmaids.

Joe's flowers are adorned with the pendant Tricia wore during their first kiss.

The bride's heels each got a silver sixpence for good luck.
