Devon Fagel was smitten the moment he laid eyes on Michelle Levinson, daughter of film director Barry Levinson, while vacationing in Maui in 1998. She was a little resistant at first, concerned that he was too young for her: Devon was still in college, and she was 25. But in time, with kindness and persistence, he won her over, and it wasn't long before she agreed that they were meant to be together. "When he proposed," says Michelle, "I didn't have to think about it. I knew it was right."

Each piece of the letterpress wedding stationary, from the save-the-date cards to the menus, is embellished with a fern icon or the couple's initials. The cream-colored paper is backed with green.

In addition to a full bar, the couple offers guests mojitos, their favorite cocktail--made with rum, mint, sugar, and lime juice--which happen to match the color scheme of the wedding.

The dinner bell outside the Levinsons' kitchen is festooned with fern fronds; when rung, the bell lets the guests know that it's time for dinner under the tent.

Seating cards seem to sprout from moss and ferns in a weathered-stone urn from the Levinson's garden (each card has a wire "stem" that's been tucked into the moss).

The seasonal menu was based on seafood and organic produce, with a main course of poached lobster with artichokes, asparagus, and garden peas; it was preceded by a salad of tomato confit with baby greens.
