We are having a chocolate-lovers dessert buffet at our wedding, featuring crystal candy dishes refurbished from thrift stores and from family members.

If you are a DIY, you can take plates and glue them to candlesticks to create pedestals. You can vary the high of the pedestal by the height of the candlestick. Just glue with a good glass glue. This can be a very in-expensive way to do it. I was able to use candlesticks and clear plates from the Dollar Tree at our son's wedding. You could color coordinate or even use china to give a nice effect. White plate use a white candlestick If candlestick is clear the plate looks nice clear also.
