I only appreciated the 1st one; the others are too formal/mature styles. 2 of 4 daughters are getting married this summer/fall. Tho 1st asked for long dress 2nd for long dress, they both want me to wear what "I like & I'm comfortable with" as they know I love color and appreciate boldness in style. They both want Mom to enjoy and be as comfortable during their weddings as they will be. We are having a great time picking dresses for each other and their combined 20+ bridesmaids flower girls.
The only dress I really like is the first dress in the slide show. All the others really are not a MOB dress. A wedding is not a business event and the MOB should be dressed in a beautiful gown- long is more appropriate than short for most weddings. If you are having an outside wedding then perhaps a short style, but still dressy and not a suit. Sorry Martha not a fan of these dresses...
I actually quite like them. It is traditional in many places that the MOB wear off-white. Given that my mother is a senior citizen, and my grandmother has been for quite a while, I think these dresses are quite appropriate. If your mothers are younger I understand they may find these frumpy, as my mother-in-law did. She opted for a bridesmaid-type dress instead. But for all the rest of MOBs, I think these are great!
Very disappointed Martha!
You suggest MOB wears black? Or 'Off-White'?
The outfits are terrible -
and adding a jacket does not make 2 looks in one
This article gets huge thumbs down
I've seen prettier dresses. Some are out right frumpy. Maybe they meant for the Grandmother of the bride. I expected better from Martha Stewart and Co.
Same thing! I want my mother to try it on but I cannot seem to locate it
Where can I find the 2 looks in 1 dress by JS Collections (11 of 13 above)? It says nordstrom.com but I cant find it there. I went to a Nordstrom store but they couldnt find it without a style number. I also couldnt find it on JS Collections website.
