If calligraphing the names and numbers, do so after the chairs are formed. If printing, do so before cutting the paper. The name goes on the panel for the back, and the table number on the panel for the seat.
1. To form each paper chair, you will need one 11-by-2 1/4-inch strip of card stock; you can fit 3 on an 8 1/2-by-11-inch sheet. Use a bone folder to score each strip into 4 sections: a top one that's 4 1/4 inches long, then 3 equal 2 1/8-inch sections.
2. Fold the strip at the top score line; the short section of the L will be the chair's back.
3. Bring the horizontal part of the strip down as shown, and fold at the next score line, forming the chair back and starting the seat.
4. Fold the strip down at the front of the seat to make the front legs. Use a glue stick or double-sided tape to secure the 2 layers of the chair back together. Set right-side up, and trim, if necessary.

Can anyone tell me where I can get the template to do these on the computer?
i am not understanding the folding part can anyone help?
i need major help with cute idea. I was able to cute the strip and make the chair but how can you make the backing to it. As the back part of the chair? do you need to cut another strip and glue on to the back section?
If you would like the template...I can send via email. I have a crazy, fun font used, so you might want to change, etc. You will get the hint. send request to: lusterjunk@hotmail.com
To create a template, I would use a word processing program and create a table with four columns and three rows. The column widths should match the length of the sections (three 2 1/8" followed by one 4 1/4") with the rows being equal. You would have to set all the margins to 0. Then type the name in the widest column and the table number in the second column. Print on regular copy paper to test the template. Adjust tabs to match the two points where you want to start typing.
Does anyone have a template that they would be willing to share to print these chairs? Thanks so much!
I figured out how to print these off the computer. I can then type in all the information and even add a cute design if I desire. It can be alot of work, but the template I created for myself works out perfect for just the name and the table number.
Anyone know how to print these out instead of hand writing them? Is there a template around?
how can I print these on a computer?
these are sooo cute. I can't wait to try and make them! I like the sand idea to anchor them.
You can place them in a large tray that has an even layer of decorative sand, or mini Jelly Beans or seeds, anything related to your wedding theme and colour.
how can i make these and anchor them? i don't want to have them all fall over as people are reaching for their name
