Martha Stewart Weddings, Winter 2006
Basic sugar cookies become elegant favors when stacked to resemble miniature wedding cakes and topped with sugar flowers. Each cookie was spread with royal icing, then assembled once the frosting was set. Small dabs of icing also secure each layer, holding the tower intact but still allowing the cookies to be pulled apart easily. Package in clear plastic boxes (from Spectrum Ascona), and tie on a hole-punched card-stock tag with ribbon (from Mokuba).

what size is the box used here and where can I get it?

For the boxes, try www.wrapsmart.com (I have done business with them and their service is great and prompt) OR www.usbox.com OR www.papermart.com (they have a box that is 5 x 5 x 5 that would work for the wedding cake cookie favor) for a nice selection of clear boxes.

There are some great containers for these, if anyone is looking: www.theboxdepot.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?search=action
I've seen this kind of favours with a chocholate dough. It's very interesting :-)
I was also interested in this favor idea. But I also did not know the size, I assume you could make these cookies any size you want but as far as containers go papermart.com has an awsome selection, one of their designs I found very cute.

I hope this helps! Good luck!
how far ahead can I make these? could I make them, assemble them, and freeze them for a week? I don't want them to get stale, but I need to be able to make them ahead of time.
I would also like to know the size of the box, I did visit the web couldn't just fine it, is there a tag # or stock #
What is the size of the box used for this cookie?
lneyhart - the boxes used in the photo are from Spectrum Ascona (listed in the article). You can order them online at www.asconapkg.com. Here is a link to a similar box: http://www.asconapkg.com/products/boxd.html?keyID=37479686
Please email where I can get the clear plastic box the sugar cookie cake favor is in. Also, how much ribbon is needed for each? PLEASE ANSWER THIS COMMENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I found a 3in by 3in by 4in box but it is not certified to be used for food. Thank you.
