Great idea and post. We recently did something similar for a retirement party. I had great success ordering them online from Affordable Buttons, they were able to take my guest list excel file and print one button for each name. They even pined them to the cards, all we had to do was lay them out. It was incredibly fast and easy!

Hi Cachalmers! To answer your question, you can purchase professional button machines and supplies on our website at www.AmericanButtonMachines.com. We actually supplied the button makers and supplies for the Martha Stewart Weddings article. The magazine was great to work with and the buttons look great!

For my wedding last fall, I decided to make rectangular save the date magnets. Finding something affordable but high quality was the biggest task. I ended up ordering from buttonworks.com, who offers a beautiful rectangular button-magnet, like you find in boutique and gift shops. They were even more affordable than if I had made them myself. Their graphic designer matched my wedding theme perfectly! I attached the finished magnets to backer cards with double-stick tape before mailing. Fabulous!
