Martha Stewart Weddings, Fall 2005
These place cards will make a "favorable" impression as guests arrive at their tables. Here, tented cards do double duty: directing people to their seats and sealing sacks of candy. Using a computer, position each name in the bottom half of a 2 1/2-by-4-inch rectangle; print out on card stock, cut out, and fold. Fill cellophane bag (these foil-wrapped chocolate nuts are great for fall; from Daprano & Company), and fold top of bag over 1/2 inch. Slip card over bag; secure with adhesive dots.

We gave apple butter as our wedding favor and on the top of the jar we had our guest names' and table number.
I do this for bride's all the time. It's a great way to make the favor seem personal, to add to the decor of the table AND to use as place card. Love it!
