Hand-Tied Wedding Bouquet

World-renowned floral designer Jane Packer explains how she creates a stunning hand-tied flower bouquet bedecked with buttons, beads, and jewels.

Jane begins by wiring decorative buttons and suitable jewels with floral wire and twining them around the stems of a selection of four rose varieties: "Bianca Candy," "Halloween," "Cool Water," and "Ecstasy." She then undertakes an identical process using jewels or beads (some craft stores sell pre-beaded wire). The stems are tied tightly together with the aid of floral tape and wrapped with ribbon. For some bouquets she wraps an additional bit of ribbon -- already looped through decorative buttons -- around the gathered stems.
