Hand-Wired Bouquets: Stephanotis and Gardenias

Martha Stewart Weddings, Winter 2005

The blossoms in this bouquet -- stephanotis, gardenias, and nerines -- have been wired to achieve a sophisticated, tailored look. Lime-green faceted beads dress up the cluster; they were threaded on wire before being slipped into the arrangement. Lamb's-ear leaves, too short-stemmed to use in bouquets in their natural state, were also wired to form a soft base. A vintage silk polka-dot ribbon wraps the handle.
