Three Spring Bouquets

Martha Stewart Weddings, Spring 2009

You may not be the type who loves all things lacy, feminine, and delicate. But when it comes to your flowers (not to mention your lingerie), you probably don't mind showing your girly side a bit.

Event designer Matthew Robbins created three springtime bouquets for us, all of which are unabashedly romantic yet decidedly unfussy -- perfect for the modern bride.

Robbins's best tip? Put yourself first: Let your body size and style dictate the look of your bouquet -- then decide on the bridesmaids' posies. Here, he's gathered ranunculus, peonies, roses, raspberry fruit, and foliage for an arresting and bold arrangement. The white nosegay of anemone, ferns, and sweet pea is as pretty as an April morning. And for the purple bouquet, he grouped anemone, lilac, sweet pea, and lavender for a lush, fresh-from-the-garden effect.
