Curled Heart Place Card

A clever place for a place card? On the rim of each guests' glass.
Martha Stewart Weddings, Summer 2003

Curled Heart Place Card How-To

  1. Start with quilling paper, which comes precut, or cut your own strips to 20-inches-long by 3/4-inch-wide. Fold each strip in half. Calligraph names onto the strips (we used a script that suits the curviness of the heart), with the folded edge serving as left margin.
  2. Unfold each strip. Tightly wrap one end around a smooth (not faceted) pencil.
  3. Repeat with the other end, stopping before you get to the name. Gently loosen the curls to form a heart, and hang on rim.
