Ruffles: A-Line

Martha Stewart Weddings, Summer 2002

Bands of ruching add texture to the ruffle-edged silk-taffeta bodice of Judd Waddell's champagne A-line dress. Ruffly cattleya orchids and wide ribbons make an extravagant bouquet; South Sea pearl necklace by Mizuki.

Silk ruffles shimmy along the V-neck and down the center of this sleeveless, darted A-line dress (below) in wool and silk from Cose Belle. Pleated gloves are by Carolina Amato. Fan-slit shoes by Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti.

When the bride stands, this pool of tiered ruffles (below) falls into an A-line and swings merrily from the strapless bodice of the Michael Kaye gown. Ankle-strap heels by Giuseppe Zanotti. A bouquet of pink and white sweetpeas gets a ruffled cuff.
