Enchanted by Nature: Leaves and Vines

Martha Stewart Weddings, Fall 2003

The silver embroidery cascading down the back of this strapless silk organza gown by Watters and Watters emulates the graceful lines of leafy vines.

A gold leaf necklace by Sarah Perlis is the ideal accessory for a one-shoulder satin crepe gown (below left) by Jenny Lee; the sleeve is a delicate chiffon. A layer of garden-print silk organza covers this gazar A-line dress (below right) by Angel Sanchez.

In preparation for the ball, the bluebirds might have dressed Cinderella in a gown with grand lines like this one (below), in silk mikado, by Wearkstatt; champagne-colored organza beaded shawl with vining flowers by Han Feng. Diamond floral brooch by Harry Winston.

The full skirt of this strapless silk organza ballgown by Michelle Roth is covered in a pattern of fallen leaves. This same motif is repeated in the carved mother-of-pearl necklace by Jose and Maria Barrera.
