Fresh Face

Martha Stewart Weddings, Spring 2003

A white or ivory dress, flash photography, and jittery nerves can drain the color from your skin. Blush is a quick way to counteract that effect and brighten up your face. For a natural-looking glow, blush should be applied to the apples of the cheeks (most apparent when you smile) and along the cheekbones using a sponge, a makeup brush, or your fingertips; blend well to soften the edges. Add a little more blush to the bridge of the nose and along the hairline so the color looks as though it is coming from your whole face, not just from the cheeks.
