The Kiss Clip Art

Martha Stewart Weddings, Fall 2010

For the Lip-Print Heart

Tools You'll Need
Computer
Printer
Flash drive (for transferring file to a print shop or an invitation designer)
Our lip-print heart clip art

Basic How-To
Download our PDF file onto your computer. Import the image into a desktop-publishing program to design an invitation (using a program such as Adobe Photoshop will make it easy to manipulate the PDF image; some online services will let convert the PDF image to the JPEG format). Or copy it onto a disk or a flash drive to give to your invitation designer.

To Create the Lip-Print Heart Poster
Download our PDF file onto your computer. Copy it onto a disk or flash drive, and take it to an office services print shop, and have them print it onto oversize paper to create a poster, enlarging the image as necessary. If you like, you can have them mount the poster on a stiff backing such as foam board or cardboard to make it easier to hang or to place on an easel or stand.

For the Lip-Print Stamp

Tools You'll Need
Computer
Printer
Flash drive or desktop publishing software
Our lip-print stamp clip art

Basic How-To
Download our PDF file onto your computer.

To use the artwork in your invitation design, import it into a desktop-publishing program (using a program such as Adobe Photoshop will make it easy to manipulate the PDF image; some online services will let convert the PDF image to the JPEG format). Or copy it onto a disk or a flash drive to give to your invitation designer.

You can also print out the artwork and give it to an embroidery service to have the lipstick mark embroidered on a pocket square (you might trim off the lettering first, if you like). Or give the artwork to a rubber-stamp maker and have it made into a rubber stamp to use on envelopes or favor tags.

For the Lip-Print Wrapping Paper

Tools You'll Need
Computer
Printer
Standard-weight white or cream printer paper
Ruler
Pencil
Paper trimmer (or craft knife and metal ruler)
Double-sided tape or glue stick
Chewing gum
Our lip-print wrapping paper

Basic How-To
Download our PDF file onto your computer. Then click on one of the date fields, and replace the text with your own wedding date (to get the proper spacing, use two digits for the month and two digits for the day: 05 for May, for example, and 03 for the third day of the month). Once you press the "enter" key or click on a second box, the file will automatically make the change in every date field on the page. Then print the design onto white or cream-colored paper (the copyright information you'll see when you open the file will not appear on your printout).

To wrap sticks of gum, print onto standard-weight paper, and use a paper trimmer to cut it into the proper size (unwrap a stick of gum and measure the wrapper to be sure you have the dimensions exact; you might make the paper wider so that the overlap on the back of the stick is wide enough to cover a strip of double-sided tape, if that's what you'll use). Remove the original paper wrapping from each stick of gum, and wrap it in your own wrapper, fastening it in the back with double-sided tape or with a glue stick.

You can also use cut the paper into wrappers for candy bars or other favors, or to line envelopes. See our directions for lining an envelope.
